it is a good reminder regarding housing. Since 1991 I have been providing housing for staff members for Presidential and Senate campaigns. It saves money for the campaign and it is fun to have them around.

Also, since they work really long hours and don't eat regularly I like to keep the refrigerator full and have even done their laundry. Note: After a long day they seem to really go for a beer or glass of wine.

Its fun. Call the national headquarters and offer space if you have it. Let them know if you have a preference of male/female because it is awkward for them to ask. One time I could tell they were trying to ask me a question but could not get it out. I finally realized they were trying to sort out if I would be okay with a gay man staying at my house. I laughed and told them I was okay with it given that I was also a member of the LGBT community. Another time I could not figure out what they were getting at. Turns out the staff member assigned to my county headquarters was Muslim and they wanted to make sure I was okay with it. So, let them know upfront if there is anything that will make you uncomfortable.

I know you know all of this brooklynite but I decided to post this psa in your thread. Hope it is okay.
