I just took a quick spin in there to see what folks are saying about an eventual Trump v. Hillary showdown, and I have to say it scared the living hell out of me! So many Bernie supporters seem to think that Hillary is just as bad as Trump and are therefore not going to vote in the GE at all if she's the Democratic nominee!
I'm actually shocked. I mean, I do NOT like Bernie and can't really understand what his appeal is, but I sure as sh*t would vote for him over Trump or any other Republican ninny the right wing throws at us! If this country is going to avoid starting WWIII (and I mean that literally), we Democrats have to vote TOGETHER! Talk about a no-brainer!
Guys, I'm a little scared. Voter turnout for presidential elections in the US hasn't cleared 60% since 1968, meaning that even the tidal wave of hope that Obama inspired in 2008 wasn't enough to get more than around half of all registered voters off their asses and into the polls. If it IS Trump v. Hillary come November, and we can't count on a solid showing from the former Bernie folks, think how low voter turnout might be...
I cannot understand their mentality. Some are ALREADY blaming Hillary for handing this country to Trump, all while self-righteously declaring that they themselves will stay home on election day if she's the nominee because they "just can't" vote for her. What kind of narcissistic, suicidal party are we becoming?! My fellow DEMOCRATS, come on!!! We're so much better than this!
The absolute hypocrisy of some BSers is just staggering. They'd rather throw the whole country under the bus than vote for Hillary. Is THAT what being progressive is? Heaven help us all.
