38. Slow your roll...

Feb 2016

I'm sorry but I feel compelled to say a few things about this post:
1. Social media has always been toxic.

2. Bragging about being "involved in politics since long before my peers," is so perfectly made for social media because it's well––bragging.

3. Bragging about being involved in politics, it seems to me, means you're pretty much an ESTABLISHMENT kind of person, and playing the establishment game has only turned Democrats into Republicans, and some Republicans into fascists.

3. Ageism works in both directions. Youth are not always wrong simply because they are youth, and olders are not always wise simply because they are older. I mean look at what the olders (I'm 57 BTW) have done to our great Nation. If you think things are in the shitter, well who's been driving the bus? Babyboomers! I don't believe that people under 40 owe any political respect to their parents or grandparents generations––these are the people, we are the people, who watched as our country got sold off to the highest bidder (and some of us profited, some even unfairly). Yeah so, 35, 40, 73, 18, 24, or 65...I don't care about that––what you think, that matters. I don't care if you busted your ass for Gore or Kerry or Jack fucking Kennedy, (I respect that but it doesn't make you right or deserving of any special consideration) when you're willing to compromise your vote out of fear (drummed up by your enemies and your friends, I think) and cast a ballot for a candidate that most would agree, has sat beneath the shady tree (Hillary), well that's situational ethics (at best). Vote what you believe, and voting for people "who can win" aint voting.

4. I believe what we have here is a one party system called The Establishment, and you can argue the finer points of the differences between Rs and Ds, but any argument that makes sense is probably based on the historical understanding, not what's on the ground today. Rs and Ds are all pretty much on the same money page, and the only reason they pretend to argue is because they are, for the most part, greedy or self-interested, and they just want the team they play on to control the money ball (so their friends can profit a bit more than the other team). I don't fear Trump, any more than I already fear many of the things President Obama has done in office (especially when you consider what he said he'd do, and the promises he made.). There will be no real change with any ESTABLISHMENT president, that's what's at stake, and that's why it needs to be Bernie (or Trump, even if it's just to get people off their asses to do more than just vote the lesser of two evils).

and believe it or not, this is not all I have to say about that.
BTW

I want A WOMAN PRESIDENT
too, but not a woman president
who thinks exactly like the MEN
who got us into this MESS.
