They believe she is for the bigger picture in their lives and I have found the same from secularist and atheist, Jewish, Protestant and Catholics here where I live now. They have been wanting her to run since last year and tell me without being asked.
I was not surprised at her high level of support from public worker union members, as she supports their calling
There was less support for PBO in those women in Texas, but they felt HRC is a stronger leader. Whether that is a racial divide, I don't know. I can't think of any president who has fought off so many attempts to destroy this country as he has.
I think it's about different matters to different people, but I have a hard time getting real policy positions to argue for HRC. By that I mean current ones, as her language is too nuanced to fit in a sound bite.
Obama has had the same issue, he talks like a professor and he is constantly having to restrict his words to fit all the people. It makes him seem weak to some who go for the 'strong man' like Bush kind of leadership, but they will try to make the same case about Hillary. The record says otherwise, though. Both are very approachable people in the right mileau.
But there are some who just can't take a woman seriously, period. And their words speak volumes about themselves when they go off on her imagined sins.
But the enthusiasm for her has came from unexpected quarters in my life. From people who have mainly eschewed all things political. They have called all politicians crooks, but they don't see that in HRC.
I'm not sure what we would call this group of people, but they'll vote for HRC.
