I'm just not offended by it and other people are. I do think Bernie would have said the same thing if he was dealing with a man, like maybe Trump. I honestly think that Bernie has a lot of respect for Hillary and he is treating her as a peer, but also an opponent at the same time. Other phrases would be better, but it is the type of phrase that gets used in the heat of the moment in debate to get a word in edgewise. I actually don't say "excuse me, I'm talking" all that much, but I know I'm guilty of saying it before. It is something normally said in an argument. I have witnessed people say it in a work setting too, but more often it is "let me finish". I've seen women say it and men say it to the people of the same gender and opposite gender.
