I lost dear ones to AIDs in the 80's. I also know the difference that the Clintons made in the fight against AIDS.
Hillary misspoke. However, there is no question where her heart is with the issue of AIDS and LGBT people. A misstatement does not in some strange way change the commitment she has to our community. Her clear and simple, direct apology is evidence of that.

Oddly enough, it gives us a moment to give her some love back. To acknowledge the depth of her connection to us, to those we have lost, and to those that we love.

So, thank you for your apology, and thank you for your support, Hillary.
