21. I voted for Nader in 2000

I bought the line from Michael Moore, I didn't think Clinton had the balls to stand up for what was right and was too willing to compromise. I thought there wouldn't be much difference between Bush and Gore.
I learned how wrong I was on 9/11. And while it is easy to blame Katherine Harris, or Justice Rehnquist, it was absolutely Nader and the people who fell for the line that there was no difference between the Republicans and Democrats who cost Gore the Presidency.
But I also remember the hope I felt when Clinton was elected, it was the end of the Reagan/Bush years and I was full of idealism - and absolutism, and that was something that fueled my anger in 2000.
