....and got to be with both Ann Richardson and Barbara Jordan together in Texas. 
I am incredibly impressed that she had those experiences.
There is a whole stratum of Texas women who are simply outstanding Democrats, and we should never forget that. Barbara Jordan is one of my all-time heroes for her role in the Watergate Hearings, and for her magnificent voice. I've never forgotten her, and I was so grieved when she fell ill and died, for I expected a truly great career for her spanning many decades.
But she left descendants, in a way her spiritual daughters. One of them is Hillary Rodham Clinton.
