Also, I have always assumed the admin can read private messages so they know exactly what is going on behind the scenes.

The 2008 primary was tame compared to what is going on this time. There are too many trolls, Paulites, disruptors, socks and general a-holes who have made DU their home now. It is why I don't have a Star. Until skinner figures out how to make this a positive place for women and Democrats who support Democrats I won't contribute.

As for skip - in my view from day one he was just another authoritarian bully. I noticed that many members of the Permanent Moderator/Host Class ignored it but I read exchanges in the long, long departure thread between some old moderators about how his behavior behind the scenes was far worse than what we saw in the public forums.
