It also has massive economic implications that resonate through communities and disproportionately affect women and families with already low incomes. One of the surest predictors of childhood poverty and illness is having a single mother. That reality is one millions of the poor experience. The fact is that Republicans will do everything they can to keep women and children living in poverty and denying women the right to an abortion is a perfect way to do that. Allowing Trump to be elected and his impact on this issue would be devastating for millions of people.
