Localized $15 minimum wage laws won't kill the economy in areas that can't support that wage level.

Under the Sanders regime, Nebraska businesses are going to have to pay their workers $15 per hour because that's the amount of money you need to have a decent life if you live in The Bronx. It is, however, far more than you need for a decent life if you live in one of the many wide spots in the road you'll find in the Midwest...and it's more than the business owners who live in those wide spots can afford to spend on salaries.

One of the Bernie fans told me, "if you can't afford to pay your employees $15 per hour you shouldn't be allowed to be in business." Well, that's nice...you're going to tell a guy who pays $11 per hour to his workers but who can't afford to pay himself - and a LOT of small businesses are in this exact situation - that he can't be a businessman because he's not doing enough for his workers.
