Sanders supporters call for demonstration against "her majesty" [View all]

For refusing to drop out of the race and concede to someone who trails by 2.5 million votes. Their cause: opposition to majority rule and the electoral rights of voters. "Her majesty," defined as a woman who refuses to stay in her place and accept that a man, even one with the single lowest rating of bipartisanship and accomplishment in the Senate, has a birthright to seize office without facing any criticism or challenge.

Make no mistake about it, the attack on Clinton and the vitriol directed toward her is a thinly veiled assault on the rights of the electorate to choose their nominee by the ballot box. They target her because the ultimate goal is to strip away the rights of the women, people of color, and union members who make up the majority of the Democratic electorate. This call follows months of attacks on civil rights groups, unions, progressive advocacy groups like Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Council, and progressives like Dolores Huerta, Al Franken, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the Mothers of the Movement. Meanwhile, they defend obscene levels of wealth for any and every 1 percenter associated with the Sanders campaign and $800k a month profits for his political operatives, whereas lowly citizens have no right to criticize the wealthy allied with Sanders.

They protest Clinton because ultimately what they resent are the majority of Democratic voters who have cast their votes for her, and those votes stand in the way of what they feel us their rightful place to rule over the majority without our consent--indeed, in violation of the will of the electorate. The denunciations of "Third Way" and "social justice warriors" (something they decided were one in the same) preceded Sanders candidacy by years. It is that electorate who has been in their sites far longer than Sanders has been running.

They habitually insult every American who dares to vote independently of their control. They attack women and people in color in particular as "vagina voters," "stupid," "uninformed," or scheme to find ways to disenfranchise entire swaths of the country or overturn elections in which voters decided against the candidate they insist be installed in power against the electoral will of the people. They protest Clinton because what they ultimately resent are our votes and our basic civil rights. Their enemies are not corporations, banks or the wealthy, but the Democratic voter. We have always been the target and Sanders is simply the vehicle through which they seek to reestablish their uncontested rule over the majority.
