by forcing his resignation. Those are treason and conspiracy charges you brought up.
That may shed some light on why President Santos refused to meet with the Venezuelan opposition, led by Maria Corina Machado, when they went to Colombia last week.
The origin of the complaint is based on the controversial meeting that the former president had last November 25, 2011 at the Hotel Dann Carlton in Bogota with businessmen of the opposition to the government of Hugo Chavez, and in which his words were considered by some observers as a clear incitement to rebel against President Juan Manuel Santos.
