2. Our corporate media, and public school systems have always gone out of their way

to whitewash US government actions regarding the Americas, and to keep US citizens in the dark until decades after atrocities have happened, with the full support and sometimes training, outfitting, and arming of death squads, assassins, etc., etc. used to overthrow democratically elected leaders.

Some courageous authors have toiled long and hard, relentlessly to get closed records opened through the Freedom of Information Act, and news has trickled into the common perception through them, and their books, people like James Bamford, and the people at the National Security Archives, etc.

It's something you almost have to dig out for yourself since what they know in Washington, they seem to intend to keep to themselves, and rely upon our corporate "news" media to keep it all under wraps for them!
