“We support the Syrian people in their entirety in the struggle for a peace and political solution that guarantees the unity and territorial integrity of its peoples. There are also things to say about the embargo against Cuba, the Malvinas Islands, the independence of Puerto Rico, as well as promoting and Venezuela having met the millennium [development] goals, [and] the socially progressive policies of the Venezuelan government and the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People’s of Our America [ALBA], which is a model of change that meets the UN’s own requirements and aspirations,” Moncada said in reference to topics on the agenda for this 68th session.
