to kill innocent human beings, put weapons in their hands, then pretend they were killed during combat against the military, to deepen the appearance there are many enemies of the state, and reinforce Colombia's appearance as a country hard at war against many leftists, entitling it to continued heavy financing by the men and women taxpayers of the United States.

In the meantime, the right-wing taxpayers of the US bitch and howl about their tax "burden" and try to find ways they can end the lifelines the tax dollars have meant to poor children, poorly paid adults, and homeless war veterans in the States, so many who who live hungry, unclothed, without sufficient medical treatment.
