It's truly sad how nations like Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina, etc., have SO many other resources and so much more potential to allow their economies to flourish, and yet their governments are so corrupt and/or incompetent that they don't take the necessary steps to diversify it. You can't put all your eggs in one basket.
