4. Great description of Luis Majul - Argentina's Armstrong Williams.

Dec 2015

A sleazy rent-a-reporter with a credibility gap bigger than the Grand Canyon (or, should I say, than the Iguazú Falls).

Speaking of parallels, Argentina's Fox News (the Clarín Group) must be having a very merry Christmas now that Macri had a municipal judge under his control (Julián Ercolini) nullify the Media Antitrust Law - and in so doing override the Supreme Court itself (which, if you'll recall, upheld the law in 2013).

Scrapping this law - a law which had been praised by among others the UN, the Carter Center, the IJF, and Reporters Without Borders as an "example to follow, particularly for the U.S." - was at the top of Clarín's Christmas wish list. And boy, did Santa Macri deliver.

(looks just like him, doesn't it)

Above all though: Merry Christmas to you and yours, Judi Lynn!
