Thousands of children dying of starvation in the Colombian Guajira

1. People should know about this. Our own media has decided it's all A-OK if Colombian children die

of starvation, dehydration, and the private mining companies have all the water in the area at their fingertips.

It would be good if you would cross-post this in Environment and energy, raising the visibility for more pairs of eyes to see it.

Unbearably tragic.

We have given over TEN BILLION dollars to Colombia, ten billion US tax-payer-derived dollars since 2000, and clearly that has done NOTHING to lighten the threat hanging over the poor of Colombia.

Beyond tragic.
