Advising women to stop using hairdryers because they look better natural is another thing, but not using a hair dryer because there is an energy crisis going on is a whole other thing. Obviously then, a lot of people are not buying the president's argument, especially women, who were quick to complain that the energy problem had been foretold a decade ago, and no adequate measures were taken. And things, like not blow-drying the hair, are not going to help, as the problem is far worse now.

A woman from Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, told Al Jazeera, "If the President thinks that not blow drying our hair is going to help then the problem is far worse than we thought."
