They probably haven't scratched the surface arresting politicians who use the paras to murder their political enemies, or butt into elections, etc.

The old AUC which claimed to demobilize merely split into many small groups with different names, like Aguilas Negras, and they're still doing the same stuff, according to human rights groups. It's going to be harder, considering the fact the US itself was responsible for organizing these paras in the beginning to fight against simple "leftist" dissidents. They became so damned powerful in the years after, and they're still in business as many small groups.

The US "news" media has NEVER had a word to say about the incredible flood of blood, and nightmares AUC death squads unleashed in Colombia. According to them, it has all been those dirty FARCS. Like anyone sane would believe that.
