2. Believe me there are a few here in this forum who are still carrying the piss bucket for Chavismo

It doesn't matter to them (nor the Chavistas in Venezuela) that children are dying of malnourishment. Eating poisoned food from garbage tips. That there are no operating dialysis machines in Venezuela (unless your are an enchufado... connected). The horror stories are endless. But to the faithful, these are planted stories, with staged pictures.

What matters is the Revolution. It must roll on. If some people have to die, then that's the price that must be paid.

Maduro (and Chavez before him) could allow in humanitarian aid with the stroke of a pen. But he won't, because getting humanitarian aid makes Chavismo look bad... and appearances are very important. Getting aid flies in the face of the Chavista narrative that things are going swimmingly, and its all just US and EU propaganda.
