We have been. America’s actions in the South America thru 70’s/80’s alone are atrocious. Naomi Kline’s book “Shock Doctrine” provide a small glimpse into our behavior and we did not just limit ourselves to there.

I don’t think it would be a big stretch to imagine if the tables were turned we would do the same thing if we are not already.
