The paradox of intolerance and social responsibility of a means of communication
The submission of Aporrea.org to Jesús Silva

Translated from Spanish
From the deepest disappointment towards those who continue to allow Mr. Jesús Silva to use Aporrea.org as a platform for his reactionary ideas, I am obliged to publicly declare my complete rejection of the promotion of intolerance, hatred of the different, incitement and threat of "Extermination" or "openness" of those who think differently than this man constantly does through his "articles".
I am part of Aporrea.org and for many years I have been working shoulder to shoulder with people who think very differently. It has been a deeply enriching exercise, reviewing and publishing the dozens of articles from very diverse people, a motley expression of our people who for various reasons continue to believe in Maduro's government, others who simply can not stand this situation anymore and wish to denounce, explain or simply share your outrage.
Our framework is explicit and clear, we do not exclude anyone for their opinion about politics or whether or not it supports the government, here you can write an Elias Jaua or a Javier Vivas Santana and find much receptivity from our extensive and varied audience. But in the same way that Aporrea.org seeks to preserve tolerance and serve as a platform for our diverse and diverse people as it is, the principles of respect for dignity are also promoted and our writers are required to exercise a measured the contents, within the framework of the principles that guide our common action as Aporrea.org.
We have always sought to avoid insults, unfounded denunciations, incitement to hatred, discrimination, threats, we must constantly be doing a personal, even collective, review, when an article "sounds strange" or we think it is against the principles of our page, a page decidedly at the service of popular power, social organizations and the struggle of the oppressed sectors.

Aporrea.org is a website/blog devoted to all things Chavismo. It is roughly the equivalent of DU and democrats/Democratic Party. (despite the histrionics of some in this forum)
I don't agree with a lot of what is said in the Aporrea forum or in the blogs, but they are devoted to their cause. It is a good thing to see such a forceful rebuttal to the hatred of the extremists within Chavismo.
FWIW, Maduro and his appointed ANC created (another) unconstitutional law (Ley contra el Odio, la Intolerancia y por la Convivencia Pacífica, aka the Anti-Hate Law for Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence, November 8, 2017) to punish hate speech and intolerance. It will be interesting to see if Mr. Silva ends up in the SEBIN's Helicoide prison like those who speak out against Chavismo.
