Rafael Guzmán: In February it will be necessary to remove five zeros from the sovereign bolivar
December 21, 2018

translated from Spanish

Eugenia Morales / December 21, 2018.- The deputy and president of the Finance and Development Committee of the National Assembly, Rafael Guzmán, assured Friday that for next February, the monetary reconversion will have no value due to hyperinflation.

"What cost you a bolivar at the beginning of the year, today costs you 1,400,000. Then, the monetary reconversion is losing. You took 5 zeros out of the coin and those 5 zeros you gain from zero per month. The projection is that by February the monetary reconversion was already lost," he said in Noticias en Vivo , on TV Venezuela...

Naturally, it isn't Chavismo to blame for the economic train wreck. Clearly, those food boxes (CLAP) of low grade sawdust/powdered milk and mystery ooze/vegetable oil that the Maduro government buys, then imports via their connected/enchufado Chavista side businesses' for $240 each (worth less than $4, by estimation) is a GREAT return on investment for El Pueblo!

Another huge win for the Revolution!

For some perspective: Chavez cut off 3 zeros from the Bolivar in 2008, creating the Fuerte (Strong) Bolivar. In August of this year, Maduro cut off another five, thus creating the super-duper Soberano (Sovereign) Bolivar. And in February, 2019? I hope the Spanish language doesn't run out of adjectives before the Chavistas run out of paper for their magic money printing machines! On the upside, every single Venezuelan is now a multi-billionaire with every paycheck.
