6. You're right about Cheeto and Macri: the timing was interesting

Trump, as you know, wiggled into office (on a technicality, really) thanks to an unholy trinity of Wall Street, Russian, and Likudnik interests.

They thought they had a good puppet - though they later realized they had a loose cannon.

Macri, in turn, came in (narrowly) thanks to support from local elites, the Clarín Group, U.S. neocons, and (yes) Likudniks.

They, too, thought they had a good puppet - though in Macri's case, it turned out to be a useless clown doll.

You know: the kind you pull the string on, and it says the same 5 wisecracks - but it can't do anything.
