1. Funny how we in US have almost NO knowledge of Mexican history

Spaghetti Westerns and Zorro movies are about it. I admit, except for some reading about the Mexican/American War, I'm clueless about Mexican history and the struggles of the Mayas. Thanks for the post.
The last sentence in the article, "Some were even tricked into virtually slavery in sugar cane fields in Cuba.", seems a bit reserved after reading another article concerning the discovery of a Sunken Cuban slave ship.
