I wonder if Fabiola Santiago remembers what happened in Iraq when Dubya sent in the troops. While the Iraqi Army folded like a cheap suit, the Iraqi populace was far less thrilled about the US invading their country, and the US was doomed to fight a long, costly war of occupation.

All too many Cuban emigres think that (A) the Havana regime would collapse overnight and (B) the island Cubans would be overjoyed to see US troops on their island.

What a crock of (excrement)! US troops would be seen as invaders and occupiers, not liberators, and the Republican Party regime in Florida would make island Cubans leery of the so-called “benefits” of Trump-DeSantis-style crony capitalism for the common man.
