history, I suggest you read, CONFESSIONS OF AN ECONOMIC HIT MAN, by John Perkins. It was written in 2004, but it is a mind-blowing recent history of how the corptocracy/government colluded to destroy a world population (and our world) to consolidate wealth and power in the hands of a VERY FEW.
It outlines the brutal strategies incorporated to bring us to this (hopefully) pivotal time in world history. It also makes the reader aware that this system is not sustainable. Unless you want the extinction of the human being and much of the animal and plant life to be the outcome. Before that extinction though, the present system (which has been completely legitimized), guarantee's much, much more suffering of all but the few "Rulers," the people who have benefited from the purposeful destruction of the best of humanity and the eco-system.
This book makes it obvious, that unless we end this unjust system (for many it is already too late) the outcome is inevitable.
