He used to post the debt numbers on this thread every day. And I could see the deficit going down year over year while politicians were acting like it continued to go up, up, up. In 2010 I think it was, Republicans pledged to reduce the deficit by $100 billion. It actually went down about $300 billion without any help from them. Their promise would have cost $200 billion MORE.
