and many of the same parts are used for several models, so I think it's possible to get some indication of long-term reliability. I'd like to see that. I'm pulling for domestic models too, Bill.

One excellent thing we can all do: befriend a local, independent mechanic, and ask him/her what kind of repairs they see most in any particular car brand.
