(85,373 posts)Christmas is a very quiet time, except for the singing.
When we were kids, with 12 cousins all in the same state, within driving distance of Prebabcia's house, it was different. Now, even the ranks of cousins are thinning out, and all of the previous 3 generations are gone, save for a fundie aunt in Florida...Even my ex-in-laws were down to nearly nothing, last I heard.
If I were smart, I'd arrange to go on a cruise or something, if I were the type of person who liked that sort of escape...maybe I'll think of something uniquely satisfying for next year, when my immune system has recovered. I must admit the massage my friend did helped considerably. I'm in a lot less random pain today and yesterday, in spite of all the lasagna.
We had a touch of frost this morning, but it's going up to 60F and beyond. Next weekend it's supposed to seriously start snowing, or at least slushing. Ho ho ho!
