3. I don't get it either -- they say the China trade talks are going better...

but I can't believe it explains the 13.6% increase in the S&P 500 since the Dec. 24 low, and 6.5% increase since the end of the year. It's now back out of correction territory (its down 8.9% from the Sept 20 high, whereas correction territory begins at 10% below). But a lot of warnings that a large percentage of S&P 500 stocks are still 20% or more below their 52 week highs, and that it has not been a broad-based recovery.
