makes them wear out rapidly, wrinkles, and seems there only to allow those who should not (myself included), to wear jeans so tight I fear an explosion.

That said, I'd go Levis as I have for years, occasionally LEE jeans and never Wranglers despite their continued popularity for many Westerners.
