I have to admit to being a tad intimidated by my advisor, so I don't challenge him on his statements. I simply don't know enough to challenge him. With the exception of his blind spot on inflation (now remedied by my strong self-advocacy), he's been on the mark. He told me flat out he could make more money selling me an annuity, so I respect him for not taking advantage of me.
