INTIMIDATE whatever teachers are left, which is the whole point. Never mind that you're firing the people you need, along with a few who *might* not be doing their jobs so well. The IMPORTANT thing is to establish a tight grip on power right away, and show them you're willing to use your authority to the max.

All this crap about "helping" the students can wait until the last pockets of resistance have been mopped up.
