I'm fed up with the nationwide war against teachers and our unions. On July 10, 2012, after trying hard to stop the attacks against our unions and contracts at the state level, I got help and advice from others, wrote a petition, and posted it on-line: "The C.A.P. Education Reform Proposal: Save America's Schools -- By Cutting Administrators' Pay, with Federal Legislation." It is easy to find with Google. Five days later, it has 262 signatures from all across America, and a petition target of 2,500 signatures -- but I can raise that target, at any time, to a higher number.

It's time for all unions to stand together. It's time to fight back. The gloves are off. I'm using my real name for a reason -- I want the bullies who try to intimidate teachers into submission to know that I do NOT fear them, and will NOT back down.

I am asking you -- meaning everyone who sees this -- to sign this petition. However, it doesn't end there. I am asking you to join this nationwide, grassroots effort, by spreading the petition link to everyone you know. Republicans love to talk about cutting wasteful spending, so they should support the idea of cutting the salaries of superintendents who collect (not "earn&quot more pay than anyone in the U.S. Senate, or the President's Cabinet, or anyone on the U.S. Supreme Court, except Chief Justice John Roberts. This describes the situation in my own school district, but it is even worse elsewhere. There is at least one superintendent in New York state who collects more money per year that is earned by President Obama, and I will soon edit the petition to include that fact. NY Gov. Mario Cuomo is pushing for a state law to stop this outrage in his state. Like many Democrats, he supports education and teachers. This petition is bipartisan, for a reason. It should appeal to over 99% of the population.

The only problem with Gov. Cuomo's effort is that it can only address this problem in one state. The C.A.P. Proposal is FEDERAL. We're petitioning both houses of Congress, and the White House. Please help us help ALL teachers, nationwide, so that we may teach our students effectively, without administrative interference. The petition explains itself. Please join us today, and help us put a stop to this, once and for all!
