2. I'd rather cut the NUMBER of administrators.

There are too many of them, most of them trying to figure out ways to justify their existence. Like writing memos, for instance. ( Or should I say, cut-and-pasting and reissuing memos that they --- or someone else--- wrote last year.) Puzzling out this BS is just an added burden/distraction for the teacher and results in less productivity.

Two things are certain, however: 1. we are attracting the WRONG people into school administration and, 2. they are being attracted for all the WRONG reasons.

I signed the petition despite the fact that it's , imo, slightly off target.

It succeeds in drawing attention to yet another educational "elephant in the living room": the quality of school leadership. In general, the quality is *abysmal*.
