3. Indycar has been using E85 since the 2012 season.

USAC racing has been using alcohol fuel for decades. It burns cooler, so higher compression is used to recover the energy given up when switching from gasoline to alcohol.

I could build an engine to run one of my old cars on E85, using more compression, somewhat different cams, and larger carb jets.
