3. I remember the "March Miracle" well. It had to around the early 90's.

I left California for good in '93.

I remember feeling really awful when there was nothing in December, January and February.

We were flushing toilets with shower water and we always had a bucket in the shower, and I always showered with my wife...sigh...

We lived in San Diego at the time, and when the rains came, we took a trip up to Big Sur to see the flowers.

It's strange in a way, how a state with so much natural beauty can actually be synthetic.

As a Southern Californian, I always felt more than a little guilt about the disappearance of Lake Owens.

Psychologically, I think, it's one reason I left.
