California Wolf Pack, 3 new Pups [View all]

California’s only known wolf pack has at least three new pups, according to a report by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife. Trail cameras in Lassen County recorded the pups, as well as two or three adult wolves, in June.

The first sighting of a wolf in California was in 2011, a wolf from Oregon. Then a pack of wolves named the Shasta pack was in California in 2015, but they mysteriously disappeared. Now there is one pack, the Lassen pack living in California since 2016.
