I don't think they are.

I wouldn't attribute any of my health problems to wind turbines but I do think they are damned ugly and I wouldn't want to be a bird or a bat getting pulverized by one.

I've got similar feelings about power lines. Landscapes would be much prettier without them, but I regularly walk my dogs on a parkway built beneath high voltage power lines. In addition to that, many of these power line towers are topped out with cell phone antennas. I've no fears this stew of electromagnetic radiation is making me or my dogs sick.
