However, if we got rid of all nuclear weapons, but ocean acidification, global warming, loss of food and energy and social breakdown finally does us in, the only thing we avoid is a regional nuclear war or two along the way. I think ocean acidification and global warming is a much bigger deal than nuclear war, but I agree they aren't mutually exclusive.
