2. Late last summer I met a guy who suffered for years from mesotheleoma.

He died Thanksgiving weekend.

I thought he was the grandfather of the kid he was working with. Turns out he was the father, and a year younger (47) than I am.

In his youth, he was a welder in the shipyards at Norfolk, VA.
