I would be concerned about relying on one installation for so much power. If it does need maintanence or goes down for any other reason, that would put an instant stop to the power for 100,000 people.

But of course there may be ways to parcel out the energy produced; some to a grid, some to another grid, some into various forms of storage, just to minimize the concentrated risk, all your eggs in one basket kind of thing.

But of course, YES! let's do it! Quickly!
