1. I'm thinking this tech will not stay in Yellowstone or just remain aimed only at wolves.

It will be used to listen in on mass human conversations just as ubiquitous cameras are used in ever increasing numbers today for convenience or safety's sake.

Someone will need to build privacy rooms to counter this mass bugging, and of course they will pass privacy protection laws; but they will only be as good as the political leaders charged with following them.
