Here at DU we are supposed to be all about cars powered by solar electricity and hydrogen. For a lot of applications - heavy trucks come to mind - neither works. Liquid fuel has to be part of any transport plan and fischer-tropsch synthesis is better than buying oil from the Middle East.

The process generates CO2, but it's salable.
