As far as we know, the cores have melted into the earth under the reactors.
The earth has been heated by these cores and the groundwater therein has been heated. Now that water is seeping into the ocean. Surely no one else is going to claim that the greatest water heater ever made has quit heating water, are they?
What is evident is there is an out of control water heater, burning for two years now next to the ocean and the satellite picture points out a hot spot right there.
I guess when you say "what an embarrassment" you are claiming you are embarrassed that you can't see the link?
