If you look at that, it's evident that the molten cores had already bored way out to the Pacific last year, and then turned and headed back to their home.
I guess Godzilla is carrying them. He gets around a lot too - by February he had made down to South America, but then he came roaring back to the coast of Japan in one of the greatest migrations of a mythical nuclear sea monster ever detected.

Here, I caught him on the way back:

If the above sequence doesn't convey that you have a hole in your theory, I either suggest watching a bunch of Godzilla movies or seeking mental health treatment.

And unless the plant moved north to Aomori Prefecture, then turned right into the Pacific . . .
