extended droughts, increased transportation costs for food, increased spoilage due to heat in transport and storage, the long-term destruction of farmland due to industrial waste, fracking, sprawl and economic forces, hail storm damage to crops, abnormal heat and freezing that doom a crop production. It would dwarf the heat wave stuff.
